Ice Climbing

Ice climbing is ‘the activity of ascending inclined ice formations.’ Usually done in winter (for various reasons…), ice climbing involves donning specially stiffened climbing boots designed for use with crampons, and using ice tools to hack your way up a frozen waterfall.

It can be done solo, using a pre-positioned top rope, or lead climbed by using specially designed ice screws for protection
